Food Industry Pest Management
Command Pest Control offer a specialist food industry pest management service. We offer the following servicesto keep your manufacturing, storage facility and products completely safe and free of pests. All specifications for service are based on an initial risk assessment and will determine the number of visits and type of controls reqired in the facility.
• Food manufacturing premises assessment
We assess the nature, source, size and extent of the pest problem in or around a food premises. An in-depth technical inspection can be carried out and pest infestation locations identified. Our Technical Inspector who is a lead auditor and BRC specialist can work alongside the Chartered Biologist and Entomologist. They will spend time with clients to discuss pest issues which may include the supply chain, ingress from external sources and fabric defects. Solutions may include detailed machine internal inspections, proofing and cleaning improvements.
• Hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP)
A pest control based HACCP assessment will determine the areas where there could be risks to the manufacturing process. Critical monitoring and control strategies can be agreed upon, and we examine all stages of the process from raw materials to finished goods and storage to transport, to identify critical points of pest threat.
• Appropriate risk assessments
Where applicable a risk assessment can be carried out in accordance with Version 6 of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety. Pest threshold limit values can be agreed upon to help reduce incidents to a manageable level.
• Routine visits and follow up visits
We can arrange to visit your premises with an agreed bespoke level of Technician visits with audits and management meetings to discuss all findings and corrective actions. Follow up visits are implemented in accordance with BRC and other retailer specifications.
• Trend analysis and reporting
Data is collected on routine visits and converted into graphs. Summaries are produced to ensure correct controls are being carried out and threshold limits of acceptance are reached to ensure the infestation is being managed. A full assessment can be made of pest control measures and where pest monitoring points are best located.
• Specialist Technicians
We provide specialised Technicians who are experienced in food industry standards and protocols.
Technicians are members of Basis Prompt to ensure their knowledge is current and CPD points are awarded through training on an annual basis.
